Celina Jaitley

Celina Jaitley is the most happening and hottest actress in Bollywood. She is a former Miss India and was the fourth runner up in the 2001 Miss Universe Pageant. She is 5'6" tall and her nickname is 'chinto'. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 9th June 1981 to an Afghan mother and Indian father. Her father is an officer in the Indian army and is from Punjab.

She has a brother and he is also serving in the Indian army. In her childhood she never dreamed about being an actress or a model, instead she wanted to be either a pilot or a doctor in the army. Although she was born in Kabul, she never lived there for long; she grew up in Kolkata, India.
After her winning performance in the Miss India pageant in 2001, she had to wait two more years until she finally made her Bollywood debut in the 2003 movie 'Khel'. She signed one more film in the same year called 'Janasheen'. It didn't take very long before people started noticing her. She stunned everybody with her beauty and agility.

Celina is a BCom Graduate, best science student in junior high school. She has done few computer courses also. She is a model for Angora Watches, Mother Diary, Night Angel Perfume. She wanted to be a pilot. She won the most prestigious beauty contest in Bengal. Her favorite actors are Amitabh Bachchan and 'Whoopi Goldberg'.

Celina is a big fan of super star Amitabh Bachchan and she also appreciates works of Sushmita Sen, Aamir Khan and Aiswarya Rai. She once said that it is her dream to work with these people as they are few of the finest peoples in what they do. When asked which character she would like to play in a remake she said "I would like to play Meena Kumari's role in 'Pakeeza', Waheeda Rehman's role from 'Chaudhavi Ka Chand' and Rekha's role in 'Umrao Jaan'.

'Janasheen' has given her an image of a sex symbol. More than her acting skills her bikini shots were talked. Her next release will be Idiot with Zayed Khan. Its a remake of telgu film Appu. Its a college campus love story replete with fun and light hearted situations. Then Feroz Khan one more movie Shaadi.com which has been behind schedule. Then Boney Kapoor's No entry co stars Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu. In this film she play a naive girl who implicitly trusts others. She is to empowering women and knows judo and karate. She is playing Fardeen's wife in this movie. this is the story of 3 married couples with their problems.

Her latest movies are 'Shakalaka Boom Boom' and 'Red: the dark side'. 'Dulha Mil gaya', 'Kaash Tumse Mohabbat Na Hoti', 'Unusual Love Story', 'One Night', 'No Entry II' are some of her forthcoming films.

When not acting, she spends her time surfing the internet, listening to music, reading, sketching etc. Celina still cherishes her childhood dream of flying and now she is saving some serious money to join a flight club in the United States...
